My 8 yr old daughter and I stayed in Whitefish, Montana, as the town of Whitefish afforded us the beauty of Whitefish Lake, an aquatic center for inclement weather and more options as this was our first time visiting a Glacier National Park.
We stayed at Hidden Moose Lodge, which had very comfortable mattresses, sheets and towels. The room itself could have used a cleaning, but the accommodations were very nice.
The room was quiet and we slept well. The staff was lovely and helpful. The owners daughter would offer to bead and make jewelry with my daughter and then ask us to pay for them, which was pretty funny!!
In retrospect, i would consider staying in Glacier National Park itself, but for my daughter and our ten day stay in Montana we needed some diversity.
It was my first time in a mountain setting on this level. I adored Montana and was sad to leave.
The Hidden Moose Lodge was a great place to stay.
