Name: Lydia Fiser Pros: Side pockets for easy access Cons: Holds weight awkwardly, bad ventilation, difficult to open Owned For: 1 year Recommends: No |
Compared to my old Osprey, I do not like this pack. It holds very awkwardly, no matter how well you pack it. It gets hot on the back, even though the technology is supposed to help with cooling.
I used to have a pack and opened like this and this one actually opens like this and it makes it difficult to unpack. Impossible if you are trying to get something out quickly. One cool thing about though it does have space for your Camelbak right there and it is insulated and keeps it pretty cool during your hike, even in the middle of the summer. So your water stays pretty cool, so that’s nice.
And I do like side pockets here, where you can put 2 extra water bottles! The Nalgene’s fit there, it’s big enough for a Nalgene. Actually it’s big enough for a Nalgene and I stick my rain pants and my rain jacket in either side of it as well. So, the big side pockets are cool, but all around fit, not so great. I think that if I were a larger person, may be it would be a better pack, umm fits in my size. It just fits awkwardly.
Could you throw it on for us real fast?
Sure. So this is it on and obviously it’s not packed up right now. But this is what it looks like when it’s on. And it actually fits real well when it’s empty, but when you just pack it up it starts to shift really awkwardly.
And how many stars out of 5 would you give it?
Probably 3. Like I said first, for someone a little bit larger, it would probably be a very good pack. But for me it fits weird.
Thanks so much Lydia.
Thank you.
