The Polebridge Mercantile

Glacier National Park, Montana

The Polebridge Mercantile transports you to a distant land and time. As Polebridge, Montana’s only store, in the state’s final frontier town, The Merc provides visitors with a plethora of goodies.

Ask anyone who considers themselves knowledgeable of Montana’s Glacier National Park where to:

      • find the best cinnamon rolls after a long hike…
      • enjoy the finest cup of coffee as you watch the sun set behind the Whitefish Mountain Range…
      • find the finest reading materials for when nature calls…
      • hear coyotes howl and watch eagles soar through air so pristine it seems gasoline has never infiltrated it…
      • rest in Glacier National Park’s only hostel

… The list goes on. If they give you any answer besides The Merc, you know their knowledge of the park is limited to a typical Lonely Planet/Moon Guide tourists’ view.

Polebridge Montana Bakery

Providing the best home-baked, tasty treats in all of Montana (from fresh baked bread and cinnamon rolls, to cookies and sandwiches), camping supplies, including propane and fishing tackle, fresh ground coffee, unique gifts for your loved ones at a far more reasonable price than any of the park’s gift shops, and, of course, beer.

The Merc is your perfect, one-stop, re-supply shop for those adventuring through Polebridge Montana and Glacier National Park’s wild and remote northwest corner.

The Merc’s open 7 days a week and offers rustic, cabin rentals all year long.

From setting up tent alongside Kintla or Bowman Lake, fishing, canoeing or rafting the North Fork or Flathead River, immaculate day hikes away from the crowds, and the best kept backpacking secret in the entire park, the opportunities for adventure in this area of Glacier National Park are limitless!

And it all begins with a stop at the Polebridge Mercantile.

The Polebridge Mercantile unfortunately only has a local business page on Facebook. Here it is for you
