The Keen Targhee II Hiking Boot is comfortable and lightweight, but hikers who have worn this boot complain that it wears out easily.
Despite its lack of durability, its light-weight build makes the Keen Targhee II Hiking Boot good for day hikes. Just keep in mind you’ll likely be buying new boots next season.

Name: Brad Sageman Pros: Comfortable, wide shoebox Cons: They fall apart quickly Owned For: Since last year Recommends: Maybe |
But I find that a lot of these types of boots, which are always some sort of combination of a Gore-Tex-like fabric and some leather, they don’t hold up as well as the solid leather boot.
You can see this guy is already starting to peel apart, and that’s after about one season. So I must have bought them at the beginning of the field season last year, and now it’s June this year, and I’ve been out for a couple weeks and I’m already starting to see that kind of thing. I think the glue they use on these boots is not as good as they used to be.
How many stars out of five would you give those boots?
Three. They are comfortable, but they’re falling apart.
Ok, great. Thank you so much for your time.
