So after crossing the country with a friend and going through Glacier National Park and speaking with some employees, we decide next summer that’s where we are going.
So, next summer we took a bus out to Montana and found my way around and ended up at Lake Mcdonald Lodge.
Between work, parties, hiking, and exploring area’s of Montana I was hooked. I went back to Many Glacier Hotel the next year, then Swiftcurrent Lodge the next, and then back to Lake McDonald Lodge for my last.
In between I met so many awesome friends, had some wonderful experiences, and did things I never will get to again, but hope to.
I would go back to Glacier National Park in a heartbeat and do it all over again — and I plan on it for sure.

Working Many Glacier Hotel During the Summer of 2008
In the summer of 2008 I had the opportunity to work in Glacier National Park at the Many Glacier Hotel. I applied with A Christian Ministry in the National Parks (ACMNP)and was able to serve with this ministry on the weekends. During the week I worked in the hotel kitchen preparing meals for the guests.
After work we went on many incredible hikes in Many Glacier Valley. We saw grizzly bears, moose, waterfalls, deer, elk and lots of incredible scenery in addition to climbing some of the beautiful mountains!!
A person can really experience the presence of God there in the peacefulness of the wilderness.
While I was working at Many Glacier I met a friend from the Czech Republic. We have stayed in touch and now I’m serving as a missionary in Prague, Czech Republic!
I’m so thankful that I had the opportunity to work in Glacier National Park-it was worth it!

Glorified Walking – Working in Glacier National Park , MT
Kayla
I was 17 when i started working in Glacier National Park. I had grown up in the mid-west and had no idea what i was getting into.
I had no college ambition so I just left, with a belly full of nerves and a brand new pack. Little did I know it was the best idea I have ever had.
I worked my first year at Swift Current Motor Inn and transferred between Many Glacier Lodge’s Heidi’s Snack Shop (being a manager) and the Swan Mountain Outfitters.
I started to realize that this valley was bliss. It was perfect. It had all my favorite things packed into one, like loving the mountains and hiking (they teach you patience).
Some of the most rewarding things you have to work very hard for. (like climbing a mountain instead of just looking at it).
I also found something I didn’t expect to find: my Fiance We met working in this amazing state and are very excited to get married and spend our days wandering the Lewis overthrust.
If your worried at all about applying for a National Park Job, you shouldn’t be. As any seasonal employee will tell you: it’s an amazing part of life.
